Collar’n’Cuff
With Collar‘n’Cuff®, you can construct effective, comfortable slings and braces to support your patients’ arms, wrists and shoulders – without the need for extra padding.
Collar’n’Cuff is a highly versatile, cost-effective solution. Simply cut the exact amount of material you need from a roll of Collar‘n’Cuff, then use the plastic fasteners supplied to hold it in place.
It is made from a soft-foam material in a knitted cotton tubular sleeve, which provides effective and comfortable support when fastened in position with the plastic strips.

Bring the two ends together and fasten with ties provided, ensuring sufficient room for the hand to be withdrawn from the Collar ‘n’ Cuff.

Arm and shoulder immobilization instructions

To immobilise the arm and shoulder, apply Collar ‘n’ Cuff as in A. Take a piece of Tubigrip®, size K or L, and measure from axilla to waist and shoulder to waist.

The patient should step into the Tubigrip and the 1st layer then pulled up to the axilla.

To support an arm in a balanced position, often in conjunction with forearm casts, take approx.1.5m of Collar ‘n’ Cuff and tie one end around the wrist.

To obtain wrist support, take 1.5m of Collar ‘n’ Cuff and make a loop 30cm in, the end piece sitting on top. Make a further loop at the side of the first.

Cross the right-hand loop of the Collar ‘n’ Cuff in front of the left-hand loop (not twisting).

For clavical bracing, take approx.1.5m of Collar ‘n’ Cuff and, standing behind the patient, lay the Collar ‘n’ Cuff round the back of the patient’s neck, bringing each end underneath the axilla.
